Sacre Coeur Heartland
Centre is
located amongst the fields of America‘s Heartland. The historic small farming
community of Aledo, Illinois fosters a mixture of opportunities which no large
city and institution could offer.
Living the life of a small American town and
living within the community makes your stay that unforgettable, once-in a
lifetime experience!
A healthy mind in a healthy
body
The College and the Aledo area offer
you a program of activities to
spend your free leisure time. From down-hill skiing in the winter to water
skiing on the Mississippi river in the summer, two golf courses, horse-back
riding, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, fields for football, baseball, soccer
and many other ball sports. A museum, a variety of restaurants, stores and
antique shops, as well as one of America’s most typical landscapes invite you
to pass a fulfilling time!
A
college built on tradition
Niles Hall and North Hall are the two
remaining buildings of the historic William & Vashti College Campus, founded
in Aledo in 1907, later used as the Roosevelt Military Academy. Sacre Coeur
Heartland Centre today builds on this important foundation of a Teaching and
Learning Tradition.
College and community go hand in hand
in welcoming students from all over the world, thus taking part in the move
towards a worldwide integration of nations in an era of globalization and
international cooperation. The one main reason to come to study
in Aledo is to meet the people of this community in Mercer County. Get to know
them and you will have a great time!
