As one of the origins of mankind, Yunnan holds a long and colorful history. Inhabited by 42 million people and 26 ethnic groups, it is a melting pot with diverse cultural attractions and, due to its size, regions with varying climates. Because of its geographical location, it is also China's most convenient access to South East and Southern Asia.

Experience of 100.000 students

The Yunnan College aims to train professional administrative personnel, holding various short-term training classes every year. These classes are held for young and middle aged functionaries as well as for civil servants. Furthermore, it also provides student courses in nearly 20 specialized subjects, ranging from administrative management, political management, economics, tourism, law, public security, journalism, archival and secretarial functions.

Founded in 1981, there are currently 445 staff members in Yunnan Administration College, including 166 full-time teachers and 28 part-time teachers as well as 24 professors and 78 vice professors. In the last 20 years about 100.000 persons have been trained here - a remarkable contribution to the socio-economic development of Yunnan.
